hmm, drag and drop doesn't work with google chrome. Anybody want to give me a hand with these? New pics with the ammo cans. I've painted the front fender since, but more or less what I'm rolling around with . Oh, and I pulled the center stand and one mirror. Hmm, I should take new pics :). -nick

Hadn't thought to tuck it under the tank. Good call. I tucked it behind that radiator bolt b/c it got a little singed by the exhaust at one point, but under the tank... hmm. I'll do that when I get home. Thanks. -nick

I'm really curious as to how your exhaust sounds.  Do you have a video of it running?  I'm thinking of either doing the exact same as what you got except maybe have the pipes turn out at the end, or making an H-Box and doing the same, OR  doing like a custom 2 into 1 bigger pipe kinda like that one guy with the crazy new age cx500 did with his.

Got bored, started drinkin, decided to set gas tank, seat, and rear fender on my bike to get a better idea of what it'll look like when I'm done.

Exactly what I had in mind.  Oh and just got my new pod filters in the mail, so by the end of the weekend it should pretty much be all put together, then I just gotta wait til next friday for my friend to bring me up the battery box that he finished fabricating up for me.

New addition to the bike :). It chomps on the front fender as I ride and makes a sweet clacking sound. Still not sure if I'm going to paint it black. My gear is all black but my helmet is white, so I'm thinking about keeping it as is.

They're always on ebay for $50-$60. They'll fit pretty much anything with a 7" headlight. They say "Viper" in the listings, but when mine came it was badged EMGO, which I found odd since I thought EMGO just made old VW stuff. I love the thing. It looks a little odd with the daytona bars I have on there (looks designed for cafe bars), but it's a nice thing to have. It's tiny, but just enough to block most of the wind from catching me full in the chest and I can duck down behind it to get fully out of the wind or weather. And they weigh very little. -nick

SeanAlan329...Ditto on liking the look of the red accents on wheels on your ride. Was that just a taped off and then spray job? I'm looking at doing something similar. Any advice would be welcomed. thanks.

some mods:
Just added sissy bar. Seat required a little hammering to narrow it so the sissy bar would fit. Rear Lucas style brake/stop light with LED bulb. Red LED rear turn signals. Sportster shocks. Removed center stand. Painted radiator shroud/cover and covered reflectors with black 3M reflective tape. Headlight visor. New tires, horn, grips.

thank you WildRussian for posting my pic. I have read many threads on how to do it (and i think i did it in the past?) but still can't figure it out!

Thanks for the advice Lucky! i had a 78 CX500 with crash bars but they were rusted out. how's the weather in Kingman? i was out in Phoenix in january for the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction when they got the worst flooding in 25 yrs! Flagstaff got four feet of snow!
