Hey, I bought this bike for $900. It took a couple of weeks to get it going, new battery, fuel pump and used fuel injectors. Runs pretty good, is my daily driver at the moment.

I found this forum by accident while I was looking for an indicator lens (which I have found). I have been on the Australian CX forum a little bit.
Once I replaced the fuel pump (with one from an '85 Accord) and replaced the fuel injectors with a used pair from Ebay, it ran pretty well. I've also dismantled the front brake (which locked solid), replaced the seat cover, new oil/filter, air filter, spark plugs, etc.
The bike had not been run or registered since 1985 when the first owner had low sided it. When I got the bike running the handlebars were still sideways from the accident.
The bike runs well enough to be riden on San Diego's crowded freeways, it could use a front tire, an indicator lens, new red/orange decals and a bit of repair on the fairing. It runs well and everything works, it's probably the best freeway bike I've ever owned. It seems like you could ride it for miles and miles.

You can get replica graphics from http://www.bdesigns.ca/
I've repaired two fairings using their graphics and a fiberglass repair kit from Autozone.
Even found a paint that is close enough to the original color that I didn't have to spend a lot to get the three process system.
...and yes, it is a phenomenal sport touring bike. With Avon RoadRiders, I regularly drag knee in sport mode, and I rode mine from Sebastopol to Laguna Seca's MotoGP in 2009, (174 miles) in one day. Not a massive undertaking, but a good solid ride.

Hi Timothy what paint did you find that is a close match? Some Cadillacs seem to have a paint color that looks close.
I have seen the bd designs website and aim to get the decals from them and the seat pinstripe kit.

I'll have to look at the can, it's a generic tan spray I found at an auto parts store.
