Very cool Bri. Did you build it yourself? Very simple and clean. Is that a turbo wheel on the front?

Bri,
I like this mod; really looks functional too.
Is this a CX 650 E front with a ?? rear donor car axle. Did you do the mod yourself?

spacetiger i never did it but its basically a cx500 eurosport and its using a reliant robin axle (which have a good ratio for most trikes and they are very light)
for a quick glance at how its done on a cx500 checkout this link on youtube
not an a to z but it will give you an idea
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aav4qUCLivk
if you cant get on that link try searching for - honda cx500 trikesukru1968

Bri,
I thought it was a 650 because it had a factory fork brace. I thought only the 650 models came with them. I'm not sure the CX 500T caMme with fork braces.

i did a google for cx500 euro and not a single one had a fork brace so i think you were right in your assumption.

This is my newest look, the trunk is new and untested but only cost $42 from JC whitney. Hope it works and stays on the bike, it's no GIVI but it's also not $200. The headers are try #2, see how long the paint lasts.
Wraith - that's a good looking silverwing, the chrome looks to be in great shape. Good luck riding, anything you need help with you can find on this forum.

Thanks! the sapporo cans kick ass. I like them so much that I've already decided I'm doing the same thing on my cb 400 I'm building.
check out the homemade baffle thread, I posted a vid of the sound. they are really quite quiet.

Kingston,
Are those Tourmaster bags? They look nice.
How do they mount?

They are, my wife bought them for me. They're pretty nice, and they have a pretty wide range of adjustability. The only problem is I haven't found a way yet to mount them under my seat, so for now they are just laying across the top, with tie down's at each corner.

I was looking at a set of those bags, but was wondering about the mount too.
I was thinking that if I mounted them under the seat, then they would require some kind of bracing to keep them from contacting the tire/wheel. Is that correct?

I don't think there'd be too much trouble with the wheel, the shocks would keep them separated. The trouble I'm having is the bags hang too low and will contact my mufflers. I think I'm going to make a cut-out of the connecting harness out of an old shirt or something and experiment with different locations. The 1 "problem" with those Tourmaster bags is that to adjust the width between the bags you have to unthread and rethread a shoelace, it's not a quick connect velcro strap like some others have. I still really like them, the middle size bag holds a couple grocery bags or a 6 pack of bottles each side. Would probably fit a 12 pack of cans in there also.

JWhit,
That is one of the cleanest looking bikes I've seen for awhile. How many miles on it? I think you'll be happy to keep it mostly original. Cool looking mirrors and telefix fork brace. Any story on it's purchase?

This is my 81 cx500 c. Stripped the cowling off, made a seat, headlight
bracket and lowered the front by an inch. Working on drop brackets to
lower the rear and still keep the stock shocks. Rattle can paint job,
with 17,310 miles. Was bought new by my dad in 81, passed it down to me
just this year. More to come on this one.

If you're talking about the blue part that is a nacelle from a 78 cx500 standard. If you're talking about the little windshield there is a company that makes them out of australia I think and they are a bit pricey but the people that say they have them like them.

The name of the company is Eagle Screens. http://www.eaglescreens.com.au/ I'm in the process of ordering one for my project CX. I'm going to get the one with the extra lip on the edge to deflect more air. If you email them they will reply really fast with pictures of their options. You need to buy four of their mount kits too. Total is going to be about $130.00 shipped to the door.

Yeah Man, Eagle screens in Western Australia. Good screens and the slightly larger ones deflect more air than stock. Rode with one for 6 months. Also keeps gauges clean/needles red etc.
If you're still in control...You're not going fast enough.

I think it was Clumsi in another, or maybe this, thread that queried the whole 'Monster' phenomena. Don't get me wrong, I love that unnaturally vivid green on black, but to me it's like putting the Nike or Coca-cola on a bike. Actually, that's not really the same because both Nike & Coke logos are kind of iconic whereas Monster is kinda new. I'm not even entirely sure what Monster is or what it tastes like.
But that is an awesome green.

I stated in the other thread this as well. MONSTER is becoming HUGE in MX racing as a sponsor, and pretty much anything to do with motorcycles, especially Kawasaki. They are also beginning to expand into other racing areas. Kind of like Fox Racing, or AlpineStars. RedBull and Rockstar Energy are also just as popular. The popularity doesnt really have a lot to do with the actual drink.
