T.G.I.F.F.S. Southeast Chaptor Spring Rally May 15-16

The Southeast Chapter Spring Rally will be June 5-6. (Thank god its finally freaking summer). It will be held at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground. (Clicky) It is only six miles off the BRP on Hwy 276, in Canton NC. They have camping, cabins, a bathhouse and a kitchen. Seems like they are pretty reasonable on all their prices. A river runs next to the campsites. Looks open and grassy. No reservations needed for camping. No campfires either. They have one "central" campfire nightly. Wi-Fi. Access.
I have not been here. But I have been around it. It is SMACK dab in the middle of some of the best roads in the southeast. The very road its on, scared the crap out of me. It will be some of the best riding of the year. Haywood County( the camp) encompasses the Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Pisgah National Forest, and the famed Cold Mountain. Where else has so many freaking sweet places? The weather should be pretty warm by then. The rain should be over as well. Thank god for that!
Maybe we can be an official event for a change. The HTTA banner will be in attendance. Everybody chime in and confirm you are coming, how many nights will you be camping, and so on. There will be a ride planned for most of the day Saturday. We will leave late morn after breakfast. Eat lunch (suggestions?) and wrap up dinner at the campground. AS for Sunday, it will be unorganized. Lazy day. Maybe a short unplanned ride. If there are rocking chairs, I'm sure that's where we'll be most of the day. I am working on the route now. I am very tempted to make it a long one. How much is too much?

I am down for this, love the area, (lived in Asheville for 8 years), looking forward to it. Michael, great idea! I am marking my calender for Friday and Saturday nights at the campground, and some fun rides. About 12 hours riding time for me to get down there, 660 miles, all in a days work:-) 
May the wind always be at your back and the sun overhead as you make your way down the ever winding, smoothly paved, traffic free road!

Well Charles has expressed interest in this. Says he will not be able to make it. Has suggested early June. I have no problem with that. I just would like to nail down a date. What say you?

June isn't spring really, we could call it the thank god it's finally freaking summer rally. We could do the TWO in late April/early May and hit the Blue Ridge in early June...

That sounds good to me. How does May 1-2 sound for TWO?
For the BRMC, I have a conflict on June 12, but any other weekend in June works for me.

April is a no go for me. I already have two trips in late April. First week of May is not that great either. Later May and June work though.

I have edited for the date change. There will be a small rally in Suches Ga at TWO on April 24-25. Dave has posted a link to the TWO thread. Be there or be square.
