Jerry, if you didn't talk so much maybe soneone else could get a word in!  After much consideration, consulting the stars, working out 2 alternate plans, studying all maps available between here and there I have finally reached the conclusion that I, too, am  in.  Having said that I must, in all fairness, present some possible exceptions wherein I may not be present at the 2010 HTTA Amish International rally.  Firstly, my demise, this must be considered since I am an old fart with one foot on a banna peel.  Secondly, global warming could accelerate and Pa. will be partly underwater (which part to be determined later).  And lastly, the end of the world as the result of a backfire from Phil's latest trike, reverse trike, whatever creation!  Should I arrive (at whatever time & day) it is likely I will driving my little pick-up & towing the 83!  There is a slim possibility one of my grandsons will be with me.  Having dispensed these pearls of wisdom I hereby relinquish the floor to whomever.

I'm seriously considering coming as well.
I'm FL and I can't get a away for a 10 day week's vacation in August. On a bike that woiuld take me a good 2 or 3 days each way. In the truck I can be there in 27 hours. If you other guys aren't too busy with the cat herding maybe you could lend a hand rolling it out of the truck.

I was raiseed up in Berks co. PA and haven't been back in 20 years or so. Florida is dreadfully short on mountains.

No problem.  An "anonymous" HTTA member of many years transports his bike(s) in the back of a truck.  There are always plenty of folks pitching in to help unload/load.

Jerry, if you could be a little clearer on that reply.  Surely, you understand that people of my generation tend to become confused by the modern habit of squeezing words together, such as "what" and "ever".  In the normal scheme of things "what" would be considered as a query, as if the speaker did not hear correctly.  The word "ever" normally would be used as a reference in time, such as "will he ever shut up".  Now, having said that, I really must ask for an explanation on all the use of colons and semi-colons and parens at the end of statements.  I am sure with your superior command of the English language you will have not have any problem explaining modern speech to me.  Thanks in advance for all your kind assistance!  I look forward to your response.

Ron!!! You have never stayed there! You might scare someone away if they believe you!

It is nice beds ... if you get there early enough to get one. Last time I was there I gave up my bed to sleep in my camper so someone else could have a bed.

I may bring a tent in case this year. Also, sleeping outside, you don't have to get up with Phil at 5am!!!

I still say it is the best water I have every had. At night it always cools down for good sleeping.

Why should I stay there? I only live ten miles away as the crow flies. Besides, you don't want to listen to me snore. And another thing, I have to be on my game to lead the rides. That requires a good night's sleep, especially at my advanced age. Agree, the water can't be beat.
