I have never been there but I know where it is. I use to go up there and fish coaster brooktrout and pick copper and agates. My dad was big on that for some reason. Last year my brother stopped in and got a gay shirt but the group he was in kept getting queer looks so they went down to Michigan Tech and drank at the college.

I have a feeling not many of us have been up there since there aren't that many people that live up in the U.P.
The only other one besides me I think was Yooperwing and he lived 30 or so miles from where I was in the middle of nowhere.

You know that odd harley neighbor who washes his bike in Daisy Dukes. Well his friend is partial owners of the gay bar or so he say.

I was actually waiting to open this post to see the ice cream shop in Hell michigan.

Gay, Michigan is way off the beaten path.  Heck, it takes like 15 miles of dirt roads just to get there.  How'd you end up there?  Anyway, I've been to the Gay Bar numerous times and it's a neat place.  Good people.  Also, there is awesome dirt bike riding right around the corner on the stamp sands of Lake Superior.

FYI, stamp sands are a result of the old copper mining industry that's now defunct in Michigan.  Factories would crush rock down to about the size of beach sand granules to get the copper out.  Some of the old stamping plants made several square miles land with the crushed rock "stamp sand."  It's black in color and not good for anything I know of other than dirt bike riding.  It's way different to ride on than beach sand because you don't sink in and you get awesome traction.
