I've emailed this guy twice - Monday and Thursday - with no response. I'm interested in the bike, but if someone else has a need that's OK too. If anyone else is trying to reach him, or hears from him, let me know. If I hear anything, I'll share as well.

So I called the guy. He said the bike isn't running, dead stator. And the headlight bucket is missing. He said he'd add pictures to his posting.

I just called the guy and he told me it was sold. Did you get the bike? I hope you did. That was a great great deal for you.

I just love Craigslist - really I do. Its just that you never know what's really going on.
The guy called me about an hour ago - 12:30 eastern. And at that point, the bike
wasn't sold, so who knows what's happening? He said he's selling it
for his father, and now the only thing he knows it needs is the exhaust
and a battery. Oh, and the father wants $600.00.
He's texted me some pictures, but until I can find the right cable, I
can't download them or really tell much about the bike. All I can tell
from the postage stamp size images on my phone is that there is a
motorcycle, it looks to be dark red with a fairing, and the cylinder
cases are black. Its frustrating to have a full image size shot of the
speedometer, but not to know the mileage. It will be tonite probably
before I can look for the cable, but I'll download images.
I don't know what the deal is if he says its sold. I've run into this
kind of thing before, where a seller "locks on" to a buyer and no one
else gets a chance on the item - at least for a while. Joel (or anyone else) if you're interested, let me know what I can do.
This bike is
probably not for me. The most I've spent so far is $400, as I usually
look for something that will need work and is going cheap at that.
I'll post the pictures, and if anyone is interested I'll be glad to
carry through on the contact in whatever way I can. I'd like to think
the bike will find a good home, and I trust our forum members to treat
it right.
