When I was wanting a project a month or so ago, I advertised on the motorcycle section of Craigslist that I was looking for a CX or GL Honda.  I probably got 5-6 replies and I only put it on our local site which is maybe a couple of hundred thousand population.  I picked out a GL650I from the bunch, 8 miles away, he was wanting $500, I offered him $300, and brought it home.  I haven't had a chance to mess with it much yet due to the weather, but I did start it again today and checked the compression:  180# on each cylinder.  I wanted to get it warmed up to drain the oil for a stator change.  He said the stator was bad when I got it.  And he was correct.  But everything is there and in reasonable condition.  If you are not looking for a show bike, you will have a lot more choices.  Blue Fox 1983 GL650I, 79-CX500C, 1980 CX500C, 82-GL500I, 82-GL1100, 76-CB550, 81-CB750C, 73-CB350F, 71-CT90,    Report

I don't suppose you saw my earlier posting about the Gl650 I that I resotred a few years ago. The owner died last December and the widow told me the bike is for sale. I took photos of it last week. I'll send them to anyone interested. The bike is located at Jersey Shore, PA. 40 miles from the Amish Rally site.
