Spent some time at the Triumph tent. I really like the T100 or the Scrambler. I got one of the Possie to take a picture of me on each bike and I am sad to report that I am too big for either bike. I just look funny on it. Went to the waterfront for a great seafood lunch then over to the BMW site, which was next to the Ducati tent. I think Ducati's are nice but the first service is really expensive. The BMW's are well represented and looked at the new Indians as well. Today it's the Metric side of the world and then ....Main Street.Took lots of pictures. Lots of radical choppers and 'Busa's with extended swing arms and huge tires. One thing that struck me was the Noise. The race track was quiet compaired with the noise on Beech street. Daytona is definatlly trying to promote itself as a family destination because none of the usual shennigans were tolerated by the morality police. That, however, was not the case at the Cabbage Patch. It's not in Daytona and everything goes there. They dropped a Seca 400 from a crane I shed a tear, used to have one of those and loved it, They drained the oil and started it and hoisted up. When the engine finally quit, about 45 minutes later they dropped it from about 50 feet. It landed with a dull thud. The chicks serving beer were advertising all they had to sell a FIVE DOLLAR beer. Then home in a chilly 38 degree night.
