The rear on the other hand is not pretty. Ever wrap a present? What you need is to not overlap fabric. That awkward fold over on the top the staples should be pulled out and then cut down the overlapped area on the left and right. Cut the sides to 45 degree angles and pull it tight and staple it. Then cut the top at a similar angle but enough that it still overlaps the sides and restaple. You may need an over plate or stapled over fabric to cover the wood section. But you know what nobody expects you to be a pro the first time out. If you're happy with it you're happy with it. Just means I should get off my ass and make a new one for my bike. I prefer to sew them together on the sides and then you can staple them on the bottom and they look a lot cleaner. 1979 CX500 Supertanker ATGATT makes riding a bike like a sled easier. Not bad, that's one of the many things I haven't tried yet in the "bike improvement" area. 03-06-2010, 8:11 PM lucky Joined on 03-06-2009 kingman az age 26 Posts 1,443 Re: sissy bar yea well it was my first time i am thinking on 2 different ideas one is another tank a back up i guess one would say in the shape of a coffin that would hold maybe another 2 gal of fuel or redo the cover and make it look better i am going to get the aluminum diamond plate for free i think..
