Well I'm not going to say it's good but it isn't bad from the front. The rear on the other hand is not pretty.
Ever wrap a present? What you need is to not overlap fabric. That awkward fold over on the top the staples should be pulled out and then cut down the overlapped area on the left and right. Cut the sides to 45 degree angles and pull it tight and staple it. Then cut the top at a similar angle but enough that it still overlaps the sides and restaple.
You may need an over plate or stapled over fabric to cover the wood section.
But you know what nobody expects you to be a pro the first time out. If you're happy with it you're happy with it.
Just means I should get off my ass and make a new one for my bike. I prefer to sew them together on the sides and then you can staple them on the bottom and they look a lot cleaner.

It's a definite improvement over the shirt! Not bad, that's one of the many things I haven't tried yet in the "bike improvement" area. If you had any extra material, could you fill in the back there, or even just paint the wood black?

Lucky,
My concern with your pic is that your kids don't see the "fuck the pigs" message written with the hand drawn pic of the gun aimed at the cop's head on on the wall BEHIND the bike.....WHAT the heck is that ??
Lucky, please tell me kids don't see that ?

Sounds like it means go paint your wall so the kid won't see the bad words.
