Pretty good playing. A little shred esque for my taste, but some damn good playing none the less.
What kind of strat is that? Is it an American standard with a custom pickgaurd? Or did it come stock like that?

good luck with it shep,we have listened to it 4 times.it is very good.im not just saying it.
the 5th time we closed our eyes,,,,,,,,,and both said .....deep purple

It's a cheap Strat copy.The Guard came with the guitar.I fitted a Boston rails humbucker in the bridge position and put new machine heads on it and stoned the frets.

I personally would say more like a Gary Moore than a Deep Purple. Being compared to G Moore is obviously a compliment!
I am not a musician, but do play a mean stereo. And love blues and rock!

Thanks 
I've always liked Purple and Gary Moore among many.I'm from the same guitar school if you get my drift.I've played and been influenced by many of the classic guitarists but always formed my own style even when playing in Bands either original or covers.

n 1988, Satriani was recruited by Mick Jagger as lead guitarist for his first solo tour.[2] Later, in 1994, Satriani was the lead guitarist for Deep Purple.
just to add........................
n late 1993, Satriani joined Deep Purple as a temporary replacement for departed guitarist Ritchie Blackmore
during the band's Japanese tour. The concerts were a success, and
Satriani was asked to join the band permanently but he declined, having
just signed a multi-album solo deal with Sony, so Steve Morse took the guitarist slot in Deep Purple.[9]
