a short ride report for all of you still frozen.
My beach had been invaded with football fans, shutting down my jobs for 10 days, NFL owes us now. locked in our apartment listening to Flo Rida 8 blocks away, its time to go.Free tattoos in Tampa, why not.
 checked tire and thought about oil, red lights not on yet.
first stretch 100miles of flat straight swamp with 30mph cross winds up US 27 to Clewiston Fl, first stop biker famous tiki bar
 
not our cup of tea, one block away fit us just fine
across the street
 
fried catfish to soak up the beer and tie us over to the next stop
fish eating creek campground, 20 miles of cold dark nothing in any direction.
but a beautiful camp site 16$
  
made camp, temps in the 50s, eggs and worms from the camp store,ill catch my own dinner
apparently catfish dont like the cold
mmm bass, in sure there is size limit. He went back and i finally caught a catfish, cajun bass would never work.missed the pic of her guting the fish with a gerber tool.
 
wify loves to under estimate our drinking, until the temps drop to 25, and one more drink sounds so good.
one sleeping bag no padding, long night.early morning
corned beef and the rest of the eggs.

quick snak. 3 out of 5, noticed afterwords he had a mustered sauce. out side lake placid
100 miles of small very closed town. not a open bar anywhere, just as a mattress was about to fly off the suv in front of me
 
thats a good reason to stop, right? the local bikers told us how to find the last ten bars in the last ten town we just went threw. to cold for them to ride, It seems harleys dont go in the cold, and the new goldwings the dvd playes skip if the temp get to low, coming from the north, i have to admit it feels colder down here.

made ybor city, tampa with little time to spare before our tattoos,bars dont open till 10 here so cheep days inn, bottle of rum and bad chinesse.
head out early, made 28 miles in 3hours non stop? this might explain my gas mialage dropping. stopped for gumbo. no pic, progreso would be better
south down US 41 many small sleepy towns, not offering much, and what they have (great museums) we had no time for. have to make home by 7pm or miss happy hour.
  
a stop before the bridge US19, most of our pics are polaroid, fuji film. it will be years before we have them scanned. and the 5d just spit out is mirror.
 
not as funny looking as a loaded GS.
  
lost time, shot across 70 long flat straight ride some missing in the upper rpm and lost the ability to pass latter fixed with seafome.
made happy hour.

Not bad. Why would you want to get rid of the bike. Looks like it did a good job.
