Daytona day three and pictures.

Day three was the last day that we went and my wife and son came along. I did a bit of test riding today and since we got there early we got right in for the rides. I rode a KLR 650. I could own one of these, it is light (sort of) and the torque engine is very easy to use. It also has a huge gas tank for long excursions. The NT700V. Another bike that I could own. It's adjustable wind shield is a user friendly, power delivery was good but not spectaluar. Some where between the CX and my V-storm. Comfort was excellent as was the riding position. It is to small for me and the wife however. For me this would be a solo bike, and since I alreeady have one of those...I can see it as a modern 650 Interstate. It is really geared at people who want an ST1300 and can't afford it or the insurance etc. It is priced at 6000 less than an ST. The last bike was an HD Electra Glide Ultra Classic. At over 30K I can't see myself owning one of these either. My wife however, can. This was her favorite bike. It had room, a great audio system, ABS, NAV, CB, XM, Cruise, air suspension,etc. etc. etc. Low on horsepower at 60hp but huge torque at 100 ft lbs. It pulled like a bull but revving it byond 4000 RPM was a pointless exercise. That's OK though because 60mph in 6th gear was 2000 rpm. Spent the rest of the afternoon on main street watching the action.

Yup.
Sad thing to do to a CBX, though. It looks sorta like a crab, now.

I coulden't even describe the thoughts that went through my head while looking at this bike. I guess that's what it's all about.
