What is the diference between .....

the regular carbs and the sets that have one accellerator pump on then is there any reason I cant run one set instead of the other ?

All cx500 carbs will swap. My bike had 79 carbs on it. Then I put on some 78's due to odd problems and now I have 81 or 82's with ac pump on them. They all work the same with slight advantages the newer they get.

My bike is an 81 it had the accellerator pumps on it and my dad just sent me a set of non acc I was going to use them I just wasnt sure if there was a size difference or not ( the old ones had been rruined by previous owner ) He tried to re drill a seat

Well there is a difference but they are tuned differently. I think it was the later ones with ac pumps have smaller openings by 2mm. The od is the same but the id is different. That's why the later ones have 78/115 jets in them over 78/112.

You mean the fuel needle seat?

yes he did something wierd to the fuel needle seat and ruined it ,It looked like he tried to clean it up with a drill bit?
I'm just going to use these carbs I got the price was good and they look alright I will have to rejet anyway (no airbox and custom 2into1)
