Tire suggestions for GL650
|

Okay folks, as far as I know, the tires on the GL650 I am picking up Sunday are good, but down the road, if I decide to get new tires, what do you think are the best choices for a Silver Wing? Keep in mind I won't be driving this bike aggresively, will be mostly using it for trips, and do like to have something that is halfway decent in rain. Thoughts?

Thanks, SB, I had tried the Search function, but didn't find anything...not sure how that could be, but every time I use the Search function on the forum, I never get any hits. So, I put up this new post. The link was GREAT! Lots of good info and advice.

THANKS AGAIN, SB! I just ordered a pair of the Bridgestone Spitfires from Motorcyle Superstore, and am having them shipped to my Mom's in Delaware. The tires on the bike now "look" okay, but I figure after crossing the country, I might be ready for a set. And it'll certainly be cheaper to do it this way than wait until I get back to Nova Scotia.

Those are my favorite tires. How much did the set run you? Last I knew there were going for $135 a set but maybe that went up.

Hey Dan,-- post us a little blurb about how your "crosscountry"
trip went, when you picked up the bike.
I rebuilt my 650 (partial basket case", and did the "triple" last October. Keep us posted if you need any info.
