Hi all, I've been advised to change the carb jets in my '81 CX500 as its got a 2-into-1 Motad exhaust on it, so back pressure will be slightly off?
Its a (slow) project bike, and I have not had it running yet, just about to rebuild the carbs on it, and figure it would be best to make sure I have the right jets in it now, rather than having to dismantle it again later!
Does anyone know what size jets I need in it, and anywhere likely to stock them?

Hi, yeah signed up some time ago, but cleared all the bookmarks on my computer and sort of lost track of the forum!
I'm guessing that as most users on here are from hotter areas than the UK, there carb jets will be different anyway, but any advice would be useful!
I think the exhaust on it is this one:

But it is not new, and if I can find a standard exhaust then I'll get it!

ed just hang on a bit,blindstich is pretty clued up on this,does not matter which country you are in,just hold fire,you will get some help

Cheers, I have no problems waiting... had the bike for a couple of years already! Keeps getting put to the back of the list! But I'm determined to get it on the road this summer! lol.

edessex,a Motad requires NO re-jetting.
Motad`s are "plug`n`play".

Perfect! Thats what I like to hear. Cheers guys. I can get on with the carb re-building now. I can get them balanced once I know the engine runs fine!

Found one photo, so posted it up... taken just after I bought it (bad quality as from old phone), made me reaslise I've had it 3 years and not heard it running yet!
