I scoured at least two dozen Honda shops and could find nothing. It is a discontinued part. Anyone know where I might find one? Anyone just happen to have one? Anyone know whether some other pivot bolt locknut from another make and model would work? And please...don't ask why I need one. I'd rather not talk about it. Looks like it has the swpivot bolt you need. Expensive though, @35=+ s+h 350197353961 (Item # on the bay. other resourses would be those parting out a bike,- but as you discovered, disassembly ot that piece can be a bear. I'm going to try a few machine shops in the area this week, and see if I can get someone to custom make something equivalent. If I don't succeed on that front, then I may be parting out my GL500 soon. I found a swingarm pivot bolt locknut for a Suzuki on E-bay...looked very similar, but I have no idea what the thread size and diameter of the nut is, so I can't compare. Maybe Peter Law has one. Or the guy who's scraping his bike in the selling section. Found This I suspect they are all the same for 500s.Also there os most likely a stock flanged nut than can be used or made castellated. I would imagine a good Nuts and bolts suppliers would have a Castle nut that could do the job.Yellow pages? We have a good one in my city and I even got/changed my top engine hanger bolts with some Cap bolts(Large Allen bolts) of ultra high tensile strength as they didn't have normal ones.Bit more cost but they are virtually un-stripable. I had an idiot seller buy a camera lens from me and when he got it he said it was broken because it wouldn't work. He froze my payments and I was pissed. Hey guys...I finally got the bike back together, and FINALLY found the correct pivot bolt and locknut....thanks to dccoleman. However, I need to now torque the lock nut on, but I need the special Honda tool. The pivot nut keeps trying to tighten further when applying torque to the lock nut. So, I need the special tool so that I can also hold the pivot nut while tightening the lock nut. Anyone have the special tool that they would be willing to let me borrow? PM me if anyone can help. I'm in Rochester, MN. It's been a long spring with this bike, but it is just about ready for the road again. Anyone in Southern Minnesota...if you need the swingarm pivot locknut special tool from Honda....you already know you can't buy it anymore. BUT, if you go to Trimbles Cycle Center in Austin, MN, they will "lend" you the tool. I think I may have been the first and only one to ever use it. It looked brand new.
