I doubt if you will get a simple answer from anyone here.  You're exploring new ground here.

My best advice is to call Majestic Turbo in Waco, TX.  They may be able to find a replacement turbine and shaft, for you.  I have no affiliation, but I've bought from them and been treated well.

If you can give them the make and model of the turbocharger, that will help a lot.

I shipped him a complete turbo today. I have one more 500T unit and 2 650T units available.

Dare I ask how much you want for the 650T turbocharger?

CX500 Turbo, GL650I, Two CX650E's, and one Crown Jewel of the CX line- CX650T.

Why do I own five CX/GL bikes? Ask an alcoholic why he drinks.

Guess it would depend on whether or not it needs to be rebuilt too.

Will,

That was not at all what I meant... I was trying to tell you to use the 650T turbocharger with the 500T actuator....

Actually some say its an performance increase...

That's interesting, I've never heard that.
From what I've read, the 500T spins at 200k rpm, the 650T at 140k rpm, and the 650T wheel has fewer fins.
Where would the extra power come from?.

Ok Peter I guess I miss under stood the intention of the core you offered me. I was thinking to swap the wheel and not the whole unit.

Well all the help has been very well apreciated. and Dans offer was so heart felt. i could not refuse. He has been very kind.

So now, I will still have an original 500 turbo on my Bike and thats fine.

I adition Dan Left it in a way that I may not have to rebuild the unit at all as it came of a running bike. But in any event I have located a gentelman the next town over who is willing to work with me on the inspection and rebuild of the unit, if nessesary for next to nothing but the parts.
He has quite a bit of exsperence with IHI turbos.
So things are looking up.

Lets wait and see when i get the unit and will keep you all posted

Thanks William

RPM and flow are two different things...

It's just like PSI vs volume (GPM)...

While it is true that maximum output maybe increased using a 650turbo on the 500T, even with using a 500T wastegate controller and a boostvalve, the 500 engine will have to spin higher RPM to spin the larger 650Turbo to build adequate boost. The computer will limit upper rpm so that is not an option, so you will be stuck with a 500T that will exhibit increased turbo lag and full boost at a higher rpm. The 500Turbo will be full boost about 4000 rpm - 4500rpm, the 650turbo will be much higher resulting in a much narrower power band. Not really what you want. I personally would not recommend using a 650turbo on a 500CXT except as a last resort.

Turbo function is relative to the mass flow of heated exhaust over the turbine blades. Increased CR will slightly increase the temperature of the exhaust but will not increase the volume of airflow over the turbine blades, so no, increased CR will have little effect on the overall turbocharger function. It will however give you more offboost low RPM engine torque. The CR will not be increaed enough to require racing fuel thankfully. The higher CR should help the bike accelerate quicker which will have an obvious correlated effect on turbocharger output which rises with engine RPM until the wastegate cuts in and chills the party.
