Did the "site:choppercharles.com/cs" search on the site for Trip odometer knob and not much popped up. I'm guessing this subject has came up before. So, I've been spending an inordinate amount of time searching for a knob that has at least the outside dimensions of the Trip or Clock knobs. I was thinking I might find a aluminum one and then retrofit it. I believe the the overall dimensions are 0.440 dia. x 0.475 H. There's a lot of 0.500 dia knobs and a few 0.375 dia but have not been successful finding a suitable size to start with.
Looking for suggestions, or if someone happens to have a spare Trip odometer knob... I think I already asked Dan...

You might contact a local Ham radio person - there are a few collet-attachment knobs with that shaft diameter - might be a time to change BOTH knobs, and sell the one you replace - could be a good market for it.

That's kind of you... Between the trip knob and my tank meter only working with a full tank those are only things left on my bike that I'd like to solve.

From that website "Some older parts displayed in this section are no longer available."
Unfortunately they show a lot of parts available to order that are actually no longer available. Bike bandit on the other hand most often times has the no longer available parts grayed out so that you cannot even add them to your shopping cart.

I have a odometer gauge from an 80 CX500 custom. it has the black plastic knob on it. You may want to check and see if it will work. If so Contact me.
