I don't mean this to be snarky or mean or anything, but I'm curious as to what the great appeal is with Monster. I'm actually starting to see Monster tattoos and I just can't for the life of me see the appeal.

They are turning into a huge sponsor for motocross, and are venturing into other racing areas. Much like AlpineStars or Fox. It isn't really about the actual energy drink.

Yeah me too. Been wondering what the appeal is for a while. Sounds like a heart attack in a can so I haven't ever tried it. I do know that the three streak symbol of Monster is the ancient hebrew way of writing 666. The irony of everyone putting 666 everywhere is kinda amazing.

While the hebrew number 6 is written as a vertical slash like that, "III" would not read as "666" in Hebrew unless you applied English to it too. In Hebrew it would read as "6+6+6" or "18". Note: I am not a Hebrew scholar or anythign I just happened to have recently read an article debunking some bible thumpers claims that "www" is the mark of the beast cuz its another way to write the 6's in Hebrew, and the guy who wrote the article pointed out the English/Hebrew reading thing.
See, you can learn all kinds of things on Chopper Charles. Carbs, engines, coils, anceint Hebrew... LOL
Pete From Connecticut 1980 CX500 Custom that is a work in progress.

They are a big sponsor for road racing as well, WSBK and MotoGP have plenty of "Monsters" running around.
Here's my question: Did you get them to pay for some of it? If not, perhaps a letter and picture might net you some return to buffer costs.

Perhaps, but I doubt it. The guys near me with the Reese's #12 Caprice, and the Pepsi El Camino are surely not "sponsored" be either company.

So it is sort of a regional thing then? A lot of people in your neck of the woods create replica vehicles? That's kinda cool.

Oh, the monster bike is not mine, nor near me, I suspect that people are doing it everywhere.

Just because you know some people that didin't get thier cars sponsored doesn't mean its not possible. I had a Ford Courier that I turned into a Drag Truck... replicated it after a Craftsman Series truck... I used Carquest logos and the carquest truck as my design base... and when I was done... the local carquest became my sponsor... first day at the show, a carquest DM came over and got me officially endorsed by Carquest.

How long ago was that? I could see it happening 10-15 years ago, but it's so common now I don't think it's nearly as likely to happen. Plus, your truck was made to be a replica, not just some car or bike with a crazy paint job and "sponsor" corporate logos on it.
