CX500 bogging out at 5000 rpm
Reply Quote
I have a guy asking about a simple stator test. He said the bike bogs out at 5 grand. He has checked and cleaned the carbs, switched out coils, plugs and checked the charging system, all clear. The only thing I could think of was the stator. He also mentioned a small exhaust leak on the cylinder he is having trouble with. Any suggestions?

One side bogs out at 5 grand? Does it do this just on the road or in the yard on the stand too?
Check for vacuume leaks around the carbs. Make sure both slides are working well.
