Although this subject should belong on the "Selling and Buying Forum" I am putting it here because all my connections on this forum are Turbo related.
Honda Moly Paste stuff has become Unobtainium here in Europe. Honda has discontinued this product. Ofcourse it is possible to order it in the States but sofar I have only seen outrages shipping cost of around 40 dollars.
My question is can someone ( living in the States ) buy let say 3 units of 3 ounces and ship it with surface mail to Europe ?
My estatimate is that the total cost involved will be around 3 x $10 + $ 15 shipping.
Ofcourse payment will be upfront.
Thanks from a Turbo driver with a squicky back end

Have you checked to see if you can get Loctite's moly paste? It's minimum 60% moly as well. Here's the MSDS data on it:
http://complyplus.grainger.com/grainger/msds.asp?sheetid=2968192
In the US, it's availble in an 8 oz can with a lid brush for about $30. Also as an aerosol or in larger canisters.
Alternatively, perhaps you could get Dupont Krytox locally?

Doesn't need to be molly for the pro-link... I'm sure you have something there that will work...
I've had good luck with sil-glyde lubricant..
Im sure you have something over there that will work fine...

Strangly enough all replacements for high Ms02 content Pastes are available in the States but not here in Europe in consumer quantities.
I have found a Loctite here but I have to buy 1 Kilo , which is way to expensive and too much

I have looked at www.parkeryamaha.com already.
The problem is that these companies want proof that the package has arrived at the destination and therefore use the more expensive Track and Trace shipments which usualy starts at $40 to $50.

Why don't you mix it yourself? I make my own molybdenum disulfide grease. You can buy 1/4 pound of pure Moly for around U$7.00 and mix it yourself with a good synthetic grease such as Mobil1. You'll find many other uses for the moly too, I add some to the engine oil of small equipment, use it as chain lube, exposed gear lube etc. 1/4 pound should last you 2 lifetimes, or you could mix up a big batch of moly grease and split the cost with your Euro-2 wheeled brethren.

1/4 Pound = 4 ounces --> 60% MoS2 --> 6 ounces of Moly Paste = 2 x ( 3 ounce cartridges of Honda Moly Paste) = $20
Oke you half the price but if it was up to me for that extra money I would prefer that it's already in a cartridge which I can put in my grease gun.
Also the same story as with the Moly Paste, sofar I have found here in Europe only commercial quanties ( 1 kilogram ) Molykote Micro Powder for sale here with a price tag of around $170 excl postage.That comes to $11 per 3 ounces
I also found 1 Kg of Molykote M77 paste for $313, which results in $26 per 3 ounces
I found on Ebay a 1/4 pound of MoS2 powder for $18 included shipment to Europe. Maybe worth a try, which results in $9 per 3 ounces

The mix is not a straight weight ratio on the percentage, it's a mix of fluid ounce grease and dry weight moly. 1/4 pound goes much farther than 6 ounces IME. A gunsmith (they LOVE moly lube for certain applications) told me the best way to mix is to use synthetic grease and keep adding the moly powder until it starts to clump, then add grease until it's a smooth consistency again. You may be able to get the moly powder from a chemical or industrial supply on your side of the pond and save on the shipping. I initially mixed my own because of necessity, the Honda dealer had never even heard of it, and no one in my area carried it. The online sellers wanted ridiculous shipping/handling charges on a tube.

Sorry I don't agree with you. Look at the following :
Data sheet of Molykote M77 : Data Sheet M77 see sheet 7 --> Wt% > 60
Web page of TSmoly : TS-70 Moly Paste With 70% MoS2 --> TS-70, with 70% by weight of molybdenum disulfide,

I'm not sure where you're hearing that the Moly 60 is bring discontinued, I bought a tube last week at the local Honda dealership.

I'd buy all 6 if I were you.
Ships internationally!!

If you dont' have an Ebay account, check with Discount honda to see if John will ship internationally. Mention the CX/GL forum and get 10% off.
Wildmanwill has offered his services to help and I would do the same, but he is probably closer to a Honda dealer.

Hello TonyG,
Thanks for offering help. Wildman has given me the exact same Ebay link.
Sofar He ( Ebay guy ) hasn't answered my questions about shiping costs involved for 3 items
Here is the deal why I only want 3. If I order something outside the Europe I am obliged to pay import tax and also then the administration costs involved
.......... unless I my purchase stays under a certain amount
My last idea is to purchase 3 items from the Ebay guy ( free USA shipment ) and send it to someone in the USA , which I will pay ( by PayPal ) to ship it to me by surface mail.
Any volunteers ?

Send Discount Honda a question about shipping costs involved.
What is that amount ?
Well here it gets tricky. If I order something from a company outside of Europe I have to stay within a total value of 22 Euro ( aprox 30 dollar ) .
But if a privat person sent it to me ( a gift ) the the total value has to stay within 45 Euro's ( aprox 60 dollar )

Hey European fellas who need moly paste!
Rocol, an english company, make a paste/lubricant called 'Dry moly paste', 50% moly and easily obtainable. Check the company and product at;
http://www.rocol.com/corp/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=106&Itemid=125&lang=en
I have some for my swinging arm linkages and will let you know how it appears to be when I have some proof of use.
OR
Pukka Honda kit at;

Hope this helps someone.

Honda is no longer 1 company with 1 strategie.
So the American Honda Motor Company hasn't discountinued the Moly paste but their European counterpart did
The packages I received were distributed by American Honda Motor Co. and also made in U.S.A.
