05-02-2010, 7:08 AM wildmanwill Joined on 05-25-2008 Chester County, Pennsylvania Posts 4,034 Re: TWO April 24-25 Actually broken down in Blountville, TN - approx. 310 miles from Murfreesboro.  Not too far from the Bristol Motor Speedway.  Wish I was broken down in the boro - they have lots of hotels, repair shops, etc and at least I know a few people there.  Oh well...hoping to gain access to a garage and additional tools today to get up and running again.  If not then maybe tomorrow....   Thankful that I got out of the Nashville before the worst of the bad weather hit.  Drove through some very very heavy rain.... 1983 CX650 Turbo 1982 CX500 Custom Donating Member    Report

Need to pull the fan and radiator most likely to have room to pull the harmonic balancer and replace. Jeep Cherokee with a 5x8 trailer in tow with a cx in it. It was fogged out and rainy all weekend. We went for a short ride Sat. where it had cleared just enough to be enjoyable. Had some good food, stopped at a Guzzi dealer. Sat around the campground most of the weekend. All n all it was a good time. I think I have stumbled on a thought. It is not Jerry who is a rain magnet. When you get him and Dave together is when the real stuff comes down. At least Sunday when I got away from Jerry the sun came out. The clouds went away and warmed up a lot. I ride a 83 GL650I Posts 663 Re: TWO April 24-25 I was very tempted to blow off work and zoom down there, but decided against it when I checked the weather, and realized how bushed I felt after 2 straight 60 hour weeks. I was treated to hot humid weather here but no rain for the weekend. Glad to hear three die hards did arrive at TWO and that you had a damp but enjoyable time. Setting my sights on BRMC in June and hope to see you guys there. I will bring my rain gear for sure, especially if Jerry and Dave are going to be there at the same time. And Phil, you stick to your guns. La Cosa will be ready when La Cosa is ready. If you and "the thing" are ready to ride to BRMC we will see you there. As it turns out this was a good thing due to weather here in mid-TN area. In less than 2 days we have had more than 13 inches of rain. Nashville is a major disaster area. There have been 8 to 10 deaths from drowning. It is still raining and it is not due to stop until tomorrow. I have received an email, relayed by Jason, from WMW & he has apparently found a place where he can work on his Jeep. He is better off up in Bristol than here, there has been a lot of flooding here in the Boro. I'm expecting new rod ends tomorrow but I can't order the rods until after the ends are installed, that I can determine the lengths. Speedway motors is very fast shipping but I still need to test ride it. My turning radius may be somewhat restricted with the new setup. JerryB, whichever you show up on you will have a roof over your little pointed head! Phil, it was my understanding that you could walk to the BR campgrounds if you needed to! The 650 is in for a tune-up, its running OK, I just think it can do better.  I plan to leave Thursday during the day and take my time getting there.  I will overnite somewhere on the road & probably reach the camp by early or mid-afternoon.  Charles, as I mentioned to you earlier I expect you to have some good places to eat staked out. I am only now realizing the benefit of having more than one bike, having a hack & a bike is really great.  I use the hack for almost all grocery runs and many other errands around town.  Now if I could only find room to park a third bike............ The 10 day forecast does say showers but weather is not all THAT predictable, so we shall see. They ride and camp in England and it rains there a lot, and I haven't had a good soaking in a while! Besides my bike is kinda dirty and could use a good North Carolina mountain rain shower.
