All that being true though, doesn't mean a media outlet can sell advertising based on the number of viewers tuning in to hear that truth. Not exciting or controversial enough. It also doesn't mean that researchers will receive vast sums in funding to find out more about it, since we really can have no control over solar flares etc. Control is better served by "news" that upsets and confuses the Hoi Polloi, and leads them to their TV sets and computers where they can be fed the proper diet of fear. Also the solar flares don't lend themselves to being the reason to enact new laws, or to inventing new instruments for corporate profiteering from those laws ie: cap in trade and fines. Hence, since our fabricated world doesn't shine in the light of truth, and truth doesn't add to the bottom line, bogus and controversial theories will have to be fed to us, by force if necessary. It is the old "beware the military industrial complex" thing Ike warned us about in his farewell speech , and we let happen anyway. When corporations fund the government, and the government funds the research, truth loses to profit every time, and the theory that is most profitable in the short term becomes the "truth".

Yeah. That's why research results sometimed get fudged.....
But before anyone starts thinking we're just brainwashed by other corporations that want to dump toxins: Pollution Is bad. Nobody with half a brain could say otherwise. We have to stop fouling our own nests because our grandchildren will have to live here long after we are gone.
I really feel that the people of the world are better & smarter than the posers that be give us credit for and we would do what is necessary and elect those who have the will to legislate what needs to be legislated without having to hear Chicken Little lie to us all of the time.
The pollution = climate change lie could easily come back and bite them on the balls if/when the general public finally realizes that they have been deceived and decides that, if it isn't going to cause the sky to fall, they can make as big a mess as they want.

I like to think of the earth as a large living space vehicle. Of course without a captain. Only ourselves, the passengers to run the ship. And of course we are actually part of the ship. We are all dependent on the integrity of the ship's life support systems for our survival, and we have decided it is ok for some of us to sabotage it for temporary monetary gain, as long as we can all compete for a tiny portion of the spoils and a life of grueling labor. Then we can all die of heart desease or lung cancer etc and be buried in the dirt and return to being one with the ship. I doubt that it really matters what any of us think in the long run. But I still think Human Caused Global Warming is bullshit.

Hey,HEY! Slow down, don't you know the science is settled. Al Gore said so.
Science can't be wrong.

Yeah. I guess you're right. After all. if the great scientist Gore says so it must be so.
After all, who could doubt the credibility of someone who flies around in private jets to promote a film about saving the environment.
Too bad the facts about solar activity are so inconvenient.......

From: Sunday, February 14, 2010RSSPodcasts
Snow has not fallen in every state today but all 50 states have some accumulation -- even the mountain tops of Hawaii.
In Texas, Dallas and Fort Worth broke their one day snowfall records with more than a foot of snow. Many roofs caved in and several trees came down under its weight. And with no snow plows in these places, traffic has been a mess. In west Texas, icy roads led to backups, and the backups led to pileups. Flights were cancelled from Dallas to Atlanta.
Cities in southern Alabama saw their largest snowfall since the 1970s. And in Louisiana, although it wasn't quite a blizzard on the bayou, it was enough to cancel school.
Northerners might chuckle at all the fuss over a few inches, but when you haven't seen this much snow for decades - if ever - it doesn't take much to create excitement, and big problems.
Meteorologists say it's extremely rare to have so many states with snow at once.
Yes, Yes, chuckling here in Sarnia, we've had our first 6" snow fall since Christmas. I could have mowed my lawn this past weekend.

mrcuiser ,
If a person does some research, he'll find the end of the most recent ice age was astonishingly fast. Glaciers retreated from North America in less than a century.
This is the greatest "scientific" hoax since Piltdown man. Oh that was "settled science" too.
Please follow the money and you will catch on to Phil Jones, Al Gore, James Hansen and Jim Mann.
Why is Bernie Madof in jail for fraud and these charlatans are free?
