Here are a few more photos from the 2010 HTTA summer rally at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground.

The banner.

mr. softie signing the banner as Phil looks on.

The rear tire was showing its cord.  It happened pretty fast after the tread wear indicator started showing.

the cheese has just finished mounting the rear wheel with a new tire.

From left to right:  JB, Gene McCall, the cheese, and Glenn.

Gene trying to catch a few ZZZZZZ's.

It was a great time.  The curse has been broken - this time there was no rain at the rally.

Steve, I am going to piggy back on your pictures & add a few of my own.
Gene

This is Glenn arriving at our motel In Dandridge, TN.  He led all the next day, the only time he let me lead I managed to drop my bike one my leg!

This is yet another view of the southern banner.

This is the entrance bridge coming into the campground from the highway

This is looking toward the office, you can see the banner in the background

The Dr. & his assistants are performing a post-mortum on Phil's bike

Phil is proudly displaying his "leaf rash" with Steve's approval

This is another view of Steve taken from the front porch, I was too lazy to get up!

Our resident Canadaian, Glenn appears to be searching for more beer!

Phil on a stump, is that the same as a knot on a log?

A view across the campground, this is a really nice place.

The crew is gathering outside Phil's and Charles's cabins.

Glenn found the beer and Phil.  Now all is right with the world!

My GL and JerryB's CX keeping company across from Cabin #1. The entrance bridge is just around the corner.

Steve is hard at work, ain't computers wonderful?

Mike the cheese, shortly before his tire was found to be leaking fibers!

These tech sessions require a lot of supervision!

As JerryB said, "who me, worry?"

This Jackson, the real owner of the campground, relaxing in her car.

Glenn found he has not lost in touch camping!

Four knots and a log!!

Five knots & three logs.  On the right is Charles & his friend, who knows these other guys.

A view of the lower end of the campground next to the creek.  Notice how all these motorcycle campgrounds have a creek running through?

Charles with his girlfriend in the background, she came on her own bike.  Said she had to slow down for Charles to keep up with her!

A view across the campground.

Chow hounds doing what they do best!  Saturday morning breakfast at the Juke Box.

A GL waiting for its master to return.

Just to prove we were in the mountians!

A lonely GL waits for the return of its rear wheel!

I have more pictures that can be seen in my Blue Ridge June 2010 album, just click on "my pictures" in my signature.  I added in the general pictures of the campground for those who might like to join us on our next visit, we are going back!

Thanks for posting your pics Dave and Gene, Between us we managed to capture the gist of the rally. Your pics are awesome, I am definitely going to have to work on my photo skills. It was nice meeting up with all of you guys again, and meeting Glenn and Charles et al. The BRMC is really nice, and I would like to camp there again.

Michael led me on a terrific ride on Sunday, we were tearing it up on some very twisty roads. Some were more challenging than others because of loose gravel in the turns, but we managed to keep the rubber on the road and even avoid the occasional F150. We rode 276 to 215 to 64 to 281 and parted ways in Tuckasegee NC. The Cheese headed back to Georgia and I headed north through Asheville via 107 to 23/74 to I40 to I26 to I81 (rain for 2 hours) to Wytheville VA where I ran out of steam and spent the night at a cheap motel. Monday was uneventful but fun with only a few short showers around Martinsburg WV and I arrived home at about 5 pm refreshed and renewed.

I am considering going to the Mid Ohio Vintage Motorcycle meet in July, and I am definitely hitting the Amish rally in August. So till we meet again, happy trails to you!

Steve, if you do decide to go let me know.  Several of us are going to attempt to locate our camp sites together and I am sure there would be room for you.
