My CBX Tested and almost finished

Hey guys, thought I'd give an update to my CBX project.. Been a very long road to fruition... It's been licensed, since mid April, but very little on the road, due to crappy Seattle weather.. Have been on the dyno in Seattle & a Track Day at Pacific Raceways....
Soon now, my GL-CX project will start... This will be a frame up, transformation bike.. I know what direction it will go.. Hint?? It will corner ..
Anyways, check out the Dyno video & the link to the track day photos.. I had both my DOHC CB750F bike & the CBX that day..
The Dyno..

Track Day link..

You can get a hell of a lot more lean out of that bike if you hang off and get Avon AM22/23 Race tires.
We have a guy on the local AFM circuit that races his CBX in the Super Dino class..
CX500 Turbo, GL650I, Two CX650E's, and one Crown Jewel of the CX line- CX650T.
Why do I own five CX/GL bikes? Ask an alcoholic why he drinks.
Donating Member. Sold: 1981 CX500D, 2- 1982 CX500T's, 1983 CX650C.

Hey Timothy, Avon AM series tire are indeed sticky stuff... I have em on the 750F.. 170/60VB18 rear

Not DOT legal..

Plus they are super soft and wear out quick.. That's why they are on the 750F.. 110/80VB18 front

CBX, Avon AV55 front & AV72 rear, both radials, did well, I think.. Guess I wasn't willing to, "Hang" it out on the CBX, .. Or I wasn't riding all that well... front
 rear

How the hell did you get a modern tire on the rear of a CBX? What Rim and Swingarm modifications did you use?
Your Storm on the front looks perfect, the Cobra rear looks a little under cooked.

CBX tire undercooked, yeah maybe, only did two 20 min sessions.. The rear end.. was a lot of work.. 1987 GSXR1100 swingarm shortened 3 inches, braced and shock mounts welded.. Wheels 1987 GSXR1100 sent to KOSMAN Racing, widened to 5.5 inches..

Here's a link to the CB-F site, shows all....

I'll be down at MotoGP weekend, Laguna Seca, next month & on Cannery Row, Friday & Saturday nights..

Awesome stuff but that garage looks like it needs a visit from the "Man Caves" folks. Of course, mine does too. I wish they would stop by soon.
