Anyone ever measured an ST1100 rear swingarm?

Just had the idea that it might be the one swingarm that would be fairly adaptable to the CX series and maintain the same side shaft and drive pumpkin.
Not saying it would be easy, and it would be specific to the monoshock models.
However, it would offer a rim size of 4.5," which means the ability to run a 160 series tire.

Hmmmmm.  Need to look at the final drive ratio.

Any idea what the final reduction ratio is on the ST?

standardly CX/GL500 are 3.09:1

I know on the GL15 its 2.75:1 which would give a real rev drop overall if either the swing arm and/or wheel could be used

Yeah, it turns out that the final drive ratio was in that 2.75 range.
In order to have any advantage, you'd have to install a CX650 Turbo transmission to increase the gear ratio.
Sort of defeats the purpose.

Likely, it would be cheaper to have the swingarm widened, modify the brake arm, and then widen the rim.
Not sure how much widening the universal joints would be capable of handling.
