Looks much brighter than the headlight when viewed straight on and will definitely get you noticed.  Does it throw out light for a good distance or just illuminate a short area like most LEDs?

I have a few CREE LED flashlights and the beam throw on those are amazing.  I bet in a few years we may see LED headlights that put current HIDs to shame.

I'm only on parking light in the picture.I've not tested it at night but I don't think it will light up the road but it wasn't really for that, just an added bit of colour effect/safety.I'm more than happy with my Xenon H4s that I use in the Main beam.Having ridden at night many times with them they are way superior to the standard bulbs. It's not just that they are brighter the quality of the,"White" light seems better and lights up roads signs etc superbly.
A couple of years ago I was coming back from York UK at night and the road has parts that are badly lit and some parts unlit and it might as well have been daylight as far as I was concerned. The cleaner white light seems to define objects better.

It's a cheap mod to try.

H4 Xenon

In fact they only cost now as much as stock bulbs from many places.

If was willing to wait from China there are now some of the Blue LED lamps with 28 LEDs in them so I reckon they would be pretty powerful George.
