Man, I really hate to do it, but I am going to have to part with my CX500. I just have too many projects going on right now and have a big one on the way. I just don't think I'll have the time to give it the attention it deserves.
It's a 1979 CX500 Custom. It is a complete bike, it has sat idle for a while but only has 22K on it and every part on the thing is still in terrific condition.
I really don't know the value of these parts, so make me an offer, I'll compare your offers with the prices on eBay(That parts are actually selling for) and make sure to beat that price by a fair percentage. I'm not looking to get rich, I'm really looking to help you guys out more than anything, and pay for the labor of taking the parts off myself.
It would probably be even better if you live close to the Richmond, VA area to come and pick up the whole bike for a discounted price.
Here are the details on the bike:
-CX500 custom
-Complete all parts are there in excellent condition.
-Gas tank with knee indentions(Beautiful, no dents at all, maroon with gold stripe, black gas cap. Has some surface imperfections in paint on top of tank, very minor.
-18" reverse ComStar rear wheel.
-19" reverse ComStar front wheel.
-120mph gauges.
-Complete engine and trans.
-Good stator.
-Clubman handlebars (Brand New).
-Pod Filters and Graet Carbs.
-Good CDI.
-Good everything! Let me know what you need and we'll work it out from there. Please don't offer me ridiculous offers, I'll cut you a better deal than anywhere else, but not ridiculous.
I will accept PayPal, and USPS money orders. I will figure out the shipping and will add that on top of the final sale price.
****I know I'm going to get hosed for not having pics up, but my camera is screwed up and I have to borrow a friends camera. So let me know what you want a pic of, I'll take it, and then post it on the site. I haven't disassembled it yet, so it's hard to take pics of some parts, and if someone wants the whole bike I won't have to re assemble. If you are interested in the entire bike let me know soon. So pics will be added when you request them. *******
