Here's what a few months of working in the alley behind my apartment has resulted in. All done by hand, the tail is steel/fiberglass/bondo etc. All done in the alley and all done by me. That's gotta count for something!
I'll be damned if I can remember how to post images. Haha, a little help for the computer challenged :)

Why does it always rain on Sundays in Chicago?!

The dog believes he's there as security against the evil squirrels and I'm really not sure what it weighs now. A lot less, but still far too much.

Looks fantastic. I really want to build a cafe, but my $400 bike is in such good shape I'm having a hard time cutting it up. When I get another bike, I'll definitely be looking at these pictures for some guidance!

Looks great. Do you have any details on your seat build?

When I scrolled down the page on this thread, I almost sh!t! This is one of the most unbelievable bikes I've seen so far. For some reason it does it for me, I think it is the bare bones, no frills, naked look. I just made this my wallpaper, good job man. It's simple, practical and svelte. You know this bike is what inspired me to build mine into a cafe style. I just finished paying for a set of clubman handlebars after seeing this thing. Nice work man, can't wait to see more of it in the future. BTW, where did you get the idea for that seat? It is awesome!
"1991-Honda CBR600" First bike, long since sold. "1974-Yamaha Enduro 175" Still in the garage. "1979-Honda CX500" Soon to be resurrected. Notice which bikes I still have? Just something about em'

Thanks guys. I really like it, but as always it tends to get mixed reviews. It can be a little much for some. The back is modeled after this really great green cx that I keep seeing pictures of. I've done some art welding in the past and under all that fiberglass and bondo is a steel frame that makes the underlying shape. Not the easiest way to do it, by by far one of the most fun. Good luck with your project. Can you believe this was sold as essentially a scrap bike? It's amazing what Honda can build.

Looks good, bet you dont ride too far with that seat though My Cafe seat on the CX has a lot more padding and a day in the saddle really leaves an impression....
Cheers Steve

Yeah, the seat is pretty stiff and I sure don't have much cushion built into my own "seat." Funny enough, I'm moving in a couple weeks and am planning a 12.5 hour run. Wish me luck. If you see a guy riding with a pillow stuck under his ass that's me.
