ecconomic lodging in canada, along great lakes out to nova scotia

does anyone have any ideas or information on this, most hotels i have found are around $100 a night, looking for something around $60
ride smart, ride safe, ride friendly

Take a tent - campgrounds and RV parks - Gene and I did this 2 years ago from Alaska right across to Nova Scotia - with a bit of home-stay help from some very friendly Canadians CXers.

In bigger towns, many colleges will put you up for less than $10 per night per person. You might be asked to get two rooms if you say you aren't married.
Other than that, you might want to post here what nights you are going to be where and some of the people here would probably put you up.
Also, skip the motel chains and go for the mom and pop places and ask if there is a discount for seniors and multiple nights, if you are going to be there for more than one night.

Well, we're at the bottom of Lake Huron. If you're in this neighbourhood - most certainly drop us a line. Not much in the way of 'rooms available' but there is always a couch or two... Sorry Swimming pool isn't open yet, but should be after the 4th.
