from this guy lately?
"Glad to see your almost ready to begin your journey - and wish you both a great time !!! I haven't been on much lately as I'm still working on getting my bike going - but figure it will be ready by next week or the one after ? - otherwise, can I borrow your "WIDE LOAD" sign - as I know a woman who would love to ride - but was thinking the same sign would better suit her ......
Otherwise, I look forward to meeting you both in Halifax - speaking of which - do you have a rough timetable (within a week ?) .......
Drive careful, n' keep your eyes on the road (especially travelling the coastline beaches!) ....
Cheers, n' Happy Trails Ahead !!!!!!
Bryan"
Or has his liver gave out on him?

Phil, I have not heard from Bryan. We did speak to him by phone when we were in Nova Scotia but weather prevented us from getting together. It is possible since winter has closed in up there he has not been riding and turned his interest to other things than this board.

I believe I remember he posted a few times after that, but not lately.

If it's the same guy I'm thinking of, he posted something about Climate change being a load of nonsense in the snow in LV thread... Hope my reply (quite a reasonable one IMO) didn't offend the guy or something.
EDIT-: This thread- http://choppercharles.com/cs/forums/69838/ShowPost.aspx
That the same guy? he posted yesterday.

I remember that at one point Bryan posted he had bought a car (Mazda RX7???) and was going to California to chase bikinis. If you remember that was when he posted his Triumph Chopper had been on the cover of one of Janis Joplin's albums and he said he worked as a body guard for her and he claimed to have done more than just guard her body.
His life seems to have been pretty colorful in the past. Either that or he never made it home on one of his walking trips to the VFW that he talked about.

He should be well preserved when the spring thaw hits.

Maybe he's on a beach in Malibu somewhere, last time he logged in here was in July:

Hope he's giving his liver a little time off too!

I snet Bryan an e-mail Xmas card with "What have you been up to lately? You haven't been on the CX500 forum for months..." tacked on.
His reply:
Thanks for the good wishes Bob ...... The heavy snow hit before I was able to get my bike inside - so it's been sitting outside in a big snowdrift along with my Mazda Rx7 - so I'm hoping that shortly in the New Year the weather will clear enough so that I can do some work on both the bike and car - then I'll get back on the forum ...... in the meantime, I bought a little Dodge Colt to help get me around .....
Cheers, and All the Best !!!!!!

His drunken ramblings were flooding the board, seems he had nothing else to do. Kind of sad actually. He took offence to suggestions that he stick with the subject and dropped out.

Well there's more to it than that but the last I heard he was trying to cut back on his drinking and other stuff. That was a month or so ago. I could email him if you want.

my curiosity doesn't run that deep. i was just curious what had happened to him because before i took a break from the board he was posting all the time. i get back on and he was no where to be found. figured he either sold his bike or died. i'm just being nosy.

Working night shifts, I was on msn with him quite often, and yeah, not at all since the fall. He was always good to help kill a few hours in the dead of night.
I'll drop him a line, kind of funny when somebody is so vocal - then just sort of missed.
