Reverse clutch modification.
Yeah I know what you're think. The sucker cheated us.
Ok so I was sitting around thinking of jetting and clutch conversions for my cx500 ST.
Well if you take a cx/gl500 and put in a cx/gl650 clutch then it will give a rpm shave for mile per hour at speed. Ok so 300 rpm shorter at 60mph. So it would be like 5200 rpms.
Here's where the thought gets crazy. Everyone tells me that the cx/gl650's have all the power I would want but what if you didn't care about gas mileage? Maybe the clutch wouldn't hold up since they are different but what if you put a cx/gl500 clutch in a 650. Sure it would add rpms but wouldn't it also add a load of torque?
Ok now I'm done thinking.

Didn't I read this in The Salt flat bike post that Jim posted or was it the other way around?

There is some in there on the first page. I get a lot of first hand/second hand speak from David and it bounces around in my head. He really knows his crap when it comes to the gl 500/650 engines.

Yep!
But if I can't get paperwork for the frame I have now, or find a good frame with title before August 15th,
I will have to build it out of my Street GL650.
Then build another street one later.
That will suck, cause I will be without a bike to ride while I am doing it.

You'd have to work out how to get it from him.
