I got my CX500 D and need to stretch her out and take her for a few day rides. My usual spots on the New Hampshire, New England Seacoast are all too familiar and need something new. Anyone have good suggestions for day rides in the NH vicinity?

Mt Washington, Rangely Lakes Region, Green Mtns Vt. The traffic along the NH/southern ME coast can be horrific, when warm weather comes.

It can be be a at a standstill on the coast. I am an avid hiker and know the back roads, but those are all dirt roads, not much for getting some speed, or sights. I will try some on these out to break in by CX500, like it needs to be broken in any more.

True, the Mt Washington Auto Road is partly gravel, but the getting there and the roads around the Whites in general is fine. Rangely Lakes we ride from central Vt, and it's all paved roads, rural and nice. In the Green Mts the gaps are sometimes a mile or two of gravel, but many are not. Appalachain Gap, Middlebury Gap, Smuggler's Notch. good ole Rt 100 too.

I just noticed the old NH post. I'm in Londonderry, almost all roads in NH are interesting to ride except the interstates. Even if I just commute to work in Concord, I ride up through Goffstown, Dunbarton, and Bow, there are many scenic views along the ridge, looking both east and west.

There is a sidecar gathering in essex junction, VT this weekend. That would be interesting IF you like to look at sidecar rigs.
