i just got a 79 cx500c trying to turn it in to a bobber sofar i have a solo seat and some cool mirrors and a head light i plan to cut the back part of the fram behind the shocks i was wondering if anybody out there had any suggestions for my other then the basics

Everyone seems to fall into the bobber/chopper/dual sport craze. Check out the post your ride sections as there are a lot of bikes in there.

Hard tailing is easy. Just make some struts that bolt up like shocks. I made mine out of some round stock. I think I made mine 10.5 inches, it lowered the bike 8 inches overall.

I did the same. on a GL its a little trickier because there are no mounts where the original struts go, I ended up replacing the rear diff with one from a cx any how so i just had to secure it to the top section with a grade 8 bolt.
