hello, welcome back.
The search function is down and probably won't be back.
At the top of the "General Discussion" area is a sticky posting that is called "Quick Reference Info..." . That has quick links to many of the most requested info on this forum. Including how to search with the search function down. You should check that post first with any questions you have.
By the way, next May we will be having a CX/GL ride in the Mpls area. Watch the "Traveling Friends" section. Hope you can make it.

Thank You For your help with this subject. Here's one way to do the searchy thingy for this forum...
wildmanwill wrote the following post at 02-09-2009 3:58 AM:In my Google search bar, I type the stuff I'm looking for with "site:choppercharles.com/cs" after it. rejetting issue, so:
rejetting site:choppercharles.com/cs
Or, I need new tires:
best tires site:choppercharles.com/cs
The great thing about using your browser's search box / bar is that it keeps the search text there, so you just need to double click "petcock" and change it to "best tires," then hit Enter. It should still keep the site: text.
Pretty simple! (You should use the /cs as that's where the Forums live.) ENDQUOTE
I tried it, works like a charm... I had to do the search, and then click on the link right below the first three results that said, """In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 3 already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.**** , I'm sure most people would have figured this last part out on their own but I'm posting it anyway. Thanks Again

It should be back with the forthcoming site upgrade. Could be as soon as a couple weeks!
And welcome to you, MNighthawk. What part on Minneapolis?

Randall,
I was wondering if the new upgrade would have search capability into the old archives and didn't want to promise what I didn't know. I hope you're right!

If the search function is handled better and not using double the info to keep stuff in its memory then we should be golden.
The old system of the search function was dumb. If there was 2 gigs of content then the search function duplicated it and made it act as if the site had 4 gigs of info.
