peanut tank on a cx

I wanna put a peanut tank on a cx 500 wondering if anyone has done it and if so if can u post pictures of ir. Maybe not even a peanut tank but a cooler style tank.

I don't think a Peanut tank would work... in stock format... but you could chop it to fit... or add to it...

I know ima have to do some fabing to get it on but I was wondering if its been done and how's it look. Or if anyones put another tank on that looked good

Chuck put a fatbob tank on... it looked cool as hell...

here are a few pics that have been showing up on some chopper forums I frequent


here is one i like with the stock tank


there are a lot of ideas out there.. google image  "bobbed cx500"  cx500 bobbers, ect... you get the drift... you will see lots of crazy tank ideas.

Its funny how most of the pics you come accross when you google bobbed CX500 caome from our forum

ok my one and only question is why would you want to put it on a cx they dont hold much fuel at all maybe just over a gallon i could see it if you were maybe going for a old school chopper look but other than that why??

and no i am not tryin to be a a hole here i was just wondering thats all

I should have said that I'm chopping the front end out and streatching it. Also cutting the rear frame and building a new rear. Taking off the 2 seater seat and making a solo seat. Then putting a new rear fender. I'm goin for the bobber look and wanted to try and do something diffrent. I'm thinking about a sportser tank now but as of right now I got a extra tank I'm doin some body work to. Then this weekend ima lay some blood red down and some metallic clear down. Its just for fun if it comes out good ima have a buddy pinstrip and silver leaf it. Never know that could go on if I like it
