07-16-2010, 4:16 AM DakotaMK Joined on 06-01-2010 Ottawa, IL, USA Posts 89 it's happening Changed my av pic this morning because the bike is torn down, parts are covered in primer and fiberglass- and I wanted to take down the pic of a fully assembled Chaos- hoping to replace it later today with a new av pic of the torn down bike and my mess- I mean workbench! LOL Been fiberglassing the fairing- REAAAAAALLLLY hoping to have all the prep done to be able to paint this weekend. I'm also going to get the new seat tonight, so more pics will be taken as we make the mods to reassemble and put the new seat on :-) I'm sure you guys can hear my giggling from there ! 1982 Honda GL500 This is my bike, there are others like it- but this one is mine!!    Report

I've been catching a lot of crap because I take thousands and thousands of pictures, but never have my own updated- so I snapped this one a couple of weeks ago before turning in for the night to appease the masses :-) So this is the I need to go to the salon, no makeup, end of day, take a pic and call it good- look... LOL... But still..... new seat. and I'm still trying for new paintjob THIS WEEKEND!!! The flames won't be on this weekend, but I'd like to at least be able to take it in to New Lenox next weekend for Proud American Days! Oh! Another thing- I just got done ordering the Hot Pink vinyl material for the left side fairing pocket cover!!! Via UPS, so I might even have that part done in time too! (Hey, I'm picky and couldn't decide on vinyl or pvc fabric- then sparkle or not, and I wanted a particular color of hot pink. Too many of the *hot pink* colors look like pepto bismal pink.... not what I'm going for! 1982 Honda GL500 This is my bike, there are others like it- but this one is mine!!    Report

Presently looking for a naked 500 clean and close to central Pa for the wife. All of the usual drivers that come into work ask me about it every time they see me, cause they keep hearing so much about it!! I need to update the blog/ pics- but I've been focusing all of my after work time on the bike itself! I know I'll have a lot more to do after the paint- reassembly, cleanup, etc.... but if I can get the paintjob and reassembly done before next weekend, I won't feel this urgency and I'll update more on the blog. :-) 1982 Honda GL500 This is my bike, there are others like it- but this one is mine!!    Report
