LEAKEY PRO-LINK FIX!
Reply Quote
Dex said that Fix-a-flat would seal my problems and it did! I had to use a full can and then just a little of another but now this thing holds pressure!

Rides like a totally different bike and handles better too!

So a thanks to Dex

Maybe it's just me but it doesn't sound right. Is there oil in that shock too? or just air.

I originally thought it was just air, but the shock need4steed donated to my bike had oil in it.  That may explain why mine wouldn't hold air.

Ok so since there is oil in there can someone explain how this works. Seems like one hell of a mess inside. I cleaned fix a flat out of a tire once and it wasn't anything that I wanted to do. Couldn't imagine it in a shock.

i can only imagin what it would do to the inside. i would think that isnt not that big of a deal if you do not plan on rebuilding.

I bet the ride is extra firm....

DON'T CLAIM TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM
shocks but it has an air nozzle on it and it said up to 70 psi so I figured there must be an air-bladder in there some where. It now doesn't sag when I put my 240 lb.on it , the bike is more stable in the turns and to replace and do it right would be half the cost of the bike! This works in the mean time.
this winter will be a rebuild of the pro link linkage
and a new shock replacement. DEx said his is still working fine a year or more on.
