Dropped bike and need replacement parts. Where is the best place to start? 83 CX650 Euro
Reply Quote
Hey guys,

So I got clipped going along a highway from a driver not checking their blind spot.  I ended up having to drop the bike due to the collision and luckily the crash bar did it's job and protected the the engine.  BUT...

I lost the fairing, right foot peg, right front signal cracked, right signal cracked, right brake lever was bent 250 degrees the wrong direction, as well as it looks like the push rod for the back brake looks bent, and the instrument panel is also cracked and I'm assuming I will need a new one of those because it's slightly bent forward as well as the plastic is shattered that protects the gauges.

I have been just looking online at some of the e-bay stores and other websites and have turned up a lot of nothing.

Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience or good ideas as to where to look or who to ask for parts for the 650 EURO.

I have found a lot of 650 C parts but not a lot of Euro parts which I was expecting.

Can anyone help me out and point in the right direction.

Does anyone think I can even find an instrument panel for a 650 E? or could I use a 650 C instrument panel or other parts from the 650 C for my bike ?

Thanks for all the advice in advance.

Cheers,

Jonathan

E-bay
CX650E store.

He has pretty much everything you will need.

The CX650 E has the same rear turn signals as the turbo, and the front turn signals are the same as a CB750F supersport.

CX500 Turbo, GL650I, Two CX650E's, and one Crown Jewel of the CX line- CX650T.

Why do I own five CX/GL bikes? Ask an alcoholic why he drinks.

Jonathon, Try putting a post on our Aussie B/B australiancx.asn as we have quite a few CX650ED afficionados who collect bits.
The CX650ED was officially imported into Oz, so there's a good backing of bits.

I was thinking the same thing don, but wasn't sure how pricey the shipping would be from there to Canada.

"the cx650E store" and svenlola777 are two sellers on ebay. Also search craigslist for CX650E. There is a guy in Ontario that has some E parts but it may be the sam as svenola.

Good luck; the parts are out there, in fact there is a guage set on ebay now, but he wants $200 or make offer.

I have some rear turn signals. The front black housing turn signals can be changed to chrome using rear TS units from 80's era gold wings. I had those on my former 650E.
