What goes here?
Under the rear cover at the top left hand side of the slot that the bottom of the cam chain guide goes into there is a threaded hole. I cannot find what goes there, if anything. Another threaded hole of the same size located symmetrically on the other side of the crank has a pin on which the cam chain tensioner rides. Help!

Re: What goes here?
Bandit, thanks, but no. In your picture the hole I m wondering about is under the flywheel on a horizontal line passing through the center of the crankshaft and to its left. I have not found my answer in the shop manual or on a parts fiche. It is open on my parts engine also but it has been so long that I don't remember whether it was that way when I took it apart but I seem to recall that it was. I will try to post a picture when I get a chance.

Re: What goes here?
This is the hole your referring to. It's not used in the assembly. Honda probably used it during production of the carrier plate.
This picture was taken right after removing the flywheel. Don't worry about it. It's not used.
If your going to do something, do it right, don't do it half as@*d.
