If i crack it wideopen it will die till i back off the throttle, then it will catch and go again.... I'd appreciate any ideas on this Thanks!

Are the vacuum pistons free? They need to move up and down without any hangups. It sounds like maybe they are not opening quickly enough. Maybe a lack of vacuum going to them too. Check all your air boots and the O rings when the insulators attach to the head.

when i had the carbs apart i cleaned the vacum pistons and the bores, all movement was very free and smooth.... i took it out tonite and it seemed like it dropped the right cyl more than the left. Whatever it is, i'm going to have to take them off again.ahhh the joys of older bikes LOL... thanks for any help u can give me,... mike
