here's the joke
An buddy of mine from work just opened his own bar/restaruant called "Rub Sports bar and grille south"
"rub" is an akronym for Rich Urban Bikers" which is funny because my buddy is a faux biker. his Harley soft tail is his girl friends, no tattoo, no piercing. looks like Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue. with that in mind I'm starting my own group. ironically its called PUB. Poor Urban Bikers. I'm making a group logo that will look like a penny and Abe Lincoln will be wearing an open face helmet with a scar on his cheek.

then you ain't invited :) one of the criteria is that you spent less than 5k on the bike. I'm only at about 750 bucks including the bike and riding gear. I might just make up some patches and shirts just for shits and grins
edit: well I'm not as clever and unique as i thought. there is a website called www.poorurbanbiker.com and they already have some killer t shirts

On this list...I suspect it's everyone. I bought my CX brand new, and I don't think I'm even close to $5k yet, including taxes, insurance and the rest through the years.

i just did a total of my build. i'm at less than 1k. i didn't count things like brake fluid and carb cleaner. in my business i consider those "shop supplies" it would take quite a bit to spend over 5k on a honda bike. i think charles is pretty close. i think i read his blog and it was like 4.7k or something
holy crap i overestimated that. looks like his total was just over 2k

addiction sums it up pretty well. Something I didn't TRULY understand before getting Chaos. I can't stop talking/ thinking about/ looking at the bike. I find a little smile on my face when I'm out riding, the kind that makes the world think you're up to something.... Paint job and new tires is all I am worried about for this summer. Just enough. I HATE cold weather, but I think this winter I am going to look for pipes that are a little louder and dressier, and spark plugs. As soon as the weather is nice next spring, the cover is coming off, the oil is getting changed- and I'm off!!! ESPECIALLY since the dog is getting better with his separation anxiety and I don't need to run him to my parents every morning... I can ride soooooooo much more.
Yes Lowlife....... addiction is the PERFECT word for it!

on the constant occassions that this site is down I actually feel I have "withdrawls". I made a sticker for my helmet. I'm going to start a new thread cuz i'm interested in see what other peoples helmets look like.
