How do you like the windshield? Before completely tearing down my bike for repainting, I took it for a spin sans fairing..... and I couldn't imagine having a bike without a windshield.. LOL... afraid if I ever want to get a second bike, I'll be so spoiled by getting my first one with a fairing! ;-)

I drive a truck for Crete Carrier and used to stop at Ottawa quite often. I like the windsheild just dandy but I also like riding without it. The bike came with Vetter fairing bags and trunk. I am going toT try pictures later. The bike has original paint and even the wheels look good. Thank you for the reply. This forum is great

HaHa.... yeah, I see Crete all the time in Ottawa- I actually looked @ your location and had to kinda laugh. I started college @ UNL as an AniSci major, and I MISSSSSSS Lincoln!!!!!

I don't ever want to be without the windshield and/ or fairing. It's also part of the look that I really like!

I've tried my bike both ways and prefer a windshield.  It's exhilarating to ride without one until you get up to 45-50 MPH; then it gets to be more of a "hang on" situation.  Since I frequently ride on the highway at speeds of 55-70 MPH, I prefer the protection provided.  It also allows me to ride with my visor open without me having to spit out bugs later.  And I can't imagine riding in the winter without a windshield: that would be brutal.

Ditto. These are a high bike to start with so on a Naked CX you get a lot of wind drag/chill factor.

+1 for a windscreen/shield.  I tried to go without after I had it off last for recent work, gave it to a co-member who had helped me out, and next day I was all like....."aww man, can I have it back???"  No way without for me, much more secure feeling and handles just great if you get them set right pitch wise.

I like my windshield. In fact I don't think I rode that far this season without it. Last year it was a solid no but now I don't mind and it only takes 30 seconds to take off and put back on.

"In Russia there are no roads. Russian road called the place where they are going to pass." The quality of asphalt is that ride comfort is not faster than 50-70 miles per hour. Standard walk me around 100 miles. With such conditions fairing an obstacle than comfort. But I like the dressed GL! For this reason, I saved it and he is always ready to install!
