There is a small white container with a black cap that is on the left side of the bike. It needs fluid but I dont know what it holds, its not coolant or oil, i think maybe steering fluid? plz let me know asap thanks guys

That little white container on the left side of your bike with a black cap........about halfway down the side of your motorcycle underneath your butt? It has, or should have a little wire "clip" that keeps that black cap from coming off? That one? That is your radiators over-flow/intake resovoire. It should have a "fill" line on it (though this could be hard to see) to give expansion room for the coolant to go when your motor heats up. And then, as it cools back down, it'll draw that back into your cooling system.

I was thinking more like a tank for brake fluid for the rear brake.............lol

Hi Dan, This is the coolant overflow - if you have a standard cx500 or deluxe or C model - your avatar piccie is either a Deluxe or C - do you know which? If so, please update your signature line to avoid confusion!
Some cx bikes do have disc brakes but not these ones!

When you really have to go you kneel next to your bike and make it look like you're fixing something and fill up the little bottle. Caution. Do not over fill!
