HTTA Stuff.
Reply Quote
Lately I have been trying to find a place that can make HTTA patches and this isn't it but it's a solution to something assuming that Phil approves.
I sat down today with the logo and created a Cafe Press account to get stuff made. It took like 3 hours just to do the basic setup and add items. But this is what I ended up with.

http://www.cafepress.com/CX_GL

I'm not a fan of some of the prices but I didn't really set them. Because this is a basic account it is free and limited to the amount of products that can be listed. Basically 1 item per style of anything so if theres a button offered it can only be offered in one style. I did add a profit to the images but not to profit from them. I think it said the monthly upgrade to the next account was $5 which isn't much. So just so you know I'm being upfront on this. Everything under $10 has .50 cents added to it and everything after $10 has $1 added to it. But if it profits the money will be tumbled back into upgrading the account and offering more/different items.

Also I have a question. The shirts have an option of a logo on the front or where the pocket would be. Which do you prefer.

Like I said I'm only trying to help. If Phil doesn't approve I'll kill it. Hopefully someone comes up with a method to get patches made. I figured if I couldn't get a patch I was atleast going to get a button.

HI Don,

I approve and appreciate your work ...... I'm a graphic designer as well as a retired structural steel engineer - and you know a biker for over 40 years - but I regress back into my sunshine juice ....... I've dealt with cafepress and they seem reasonably priced - and surely looking for volume sales ...... which brings me to this question ...... "How can I become a member of HTTA ?" - Oh ya, on Phil's approval <smiles> ...... just kiddin' Phil ......

Cheers,

Bryan

Bryan,

Just send $1000 to me and I will certify your membership.

If you want an un-certified membership it is free and you are a member when you sign up for this board.

(Now let's see if he sends me the money!!! ) (If this works I can drink like Bryan for a few nights! )

Other than that, I thought prices were in line with going to a motorcycle rally. Thank you Don.

Bryan if you really want to know a dumb thing you can do. Try drinking a six pack of american beer and then on a dumb bet drink what seemed to be a gallon of goldfish water for another beer. Never thew up but the goldfish was pissed.

Oh the prices I was really thinking were a bit high were on sweatshirts and hoodies.

As for the hoodie prices Stitch - they seem a bit high - but my vote is for a small patch on the pocket - and a big patch for on the back of one of my many leather vests !!!!

I hope they work out well for you. I just spent the last half hour trying to figure out how to get two logos on each coffee cup. I don't know who's going to buy them but I figured if you can get a 3 inch by 8 inch area printed, one little logo isn't really worth it when you could have two. It's funny how they display them diagonally so I cant tell if they are in the right position on the side but they should be right.  I checked out the hats and the embroidery or transfer is only 2 inches tall so hopefully that works.

This is definitely a case where reading the description helps. When you get your stuff fill us in on how good or bad they look. They should be fine but you never know what stuff that only exists in the digital world is going to look like. It's not like walking up to the shelf and saying hey that looks good. My friends have had good luck with the stuff they have orders so I have high hopes even though I seem doubtful.

Now if only I could figure out why it won't let me add a large poster.

We are still trying to source patches that don't cost an arm and a leg. This seems to be a simple alternative right now as nobody really has the money to put up to place an order for a couple hundred patches.
I'm a fan of pins. I don't know why but for some reason I always end up losing them. I have managed to lose two Thin Blue Line pins. I attended the U.P. Law ride for two years what I was working at the last newspaper. I really wanted to put on the 200 miles and do a real magazine style photo spread but my boss wouldn't let me. Instead I covered a 2000 rider offroad bike race an hour later. There were some good pictures but not as good as the ride would have been.

We had ours done at "DB Embroidery Solutions Inc"  - so, I'm sure that any stitcher would welcome a couple hundred big n' small patches to add to their inventory ......

Here's the url to our NSBA patch - hope it helps

I added a black cap. I hope everyone doesn't mind things looking like the pepsi logo. If you have any design logos I would be willing to try them.

The all seem to have different print dimensions. The logos on the badge hats are 2 inches tall I think where as the oval one is 4 1/2 x2.  There's a military hat option but it adds textures and the image I saw didn't look good. Oh and the site doesn't offer beanies. The tan hat is under the white hat icon. on the right you just select tan.

I think they are on a white background. There wasn't a color option for those. But if you want I'm sure I could put the design on a color and put it back in if you have ideas.

Don,

Thanks for the black cap. Can the black cap also have the regular design and not the oval?

Can you also add colored T-shirts with the patch at the pocket? In the big sizes???

David,
The black cap template only has an oval design. No clue why. I prefer a rectangle over the oval but what can you do.
As for colored. I'll look but I didn't see many options. AS for big do you mean bigger than 2x. If so I don't think the site offers that.

Looks like the dark t-shirt offers 8 or so other colors under it and sizes up to 3x.  But I don't know if I can change it since Phi already ordered from that style without upgrading to the next seller profile. I'll look into it.

Ok so I now have the two stores there. At the top under the logo there is a link to the other store. It has most if not all of the same things but the separation is the one has shirts with center logos and the other logos on the patch side. The buttons are also different. Hope this helps.

Actually need an oilskin Banner for our rallys 18 inches tall by 6 feet long. Logo on either end and 'Honda Transverse Twins Association" in between. We can then retire the old banner to hang on the wall at the camp.

Oh well if you know where you can get the banner done for you that solves a lot of things. I don't actually need a poster. The site dose offer a mini one which satisfies my needs.

Did I send you the logo file yet? If not email me and I'll sent it out. It's set up for poster size.

I can get banners made on nice outdoor vinyl cloth for $3 per square foot, plus shipping. I just need to double-check with work that I can funnel it through our account (discount price). If they are OK with it, I can have something like that made.

Well it looks like things are working on the cafepress site. I didn't know if it was going to work to sell between the two sites that I made one for center logo shirts and another for patch logo shirts.  But it looks like you can add things to your cart and then select the link under the logo and go to the other section to browse/buy other stuff. Anyone who buys stuff. When you get it can you say how good the quality of the item is to inform the rest of the group. If they aren't up to your expectation just send them back but fill the group in on what was wrong with the quality.

I'm hoping to place an order for stuff for me soon.

Got a red t-shirt with the pocket logo.  The shirt is typical tee and the logo appears to be an iron on applique.  Sizes run true.  If you wear an XL tee shirt, that's what you want to order.  They are 100% pre-shrunk cotton but haven't washed it yet (just got it).  Looks good but, imo, the logo looks better on a light shirt.  Got the oval stickers as well  which look good also.  The appliques are ok (they will probably fade some when washed enough) but I'd still prefer an embroidered patch.  I'm not disappointed.

I actually work in a sign shop running a vinyl based sign department with a large format solvent printer. We're a small operation but we produce full color banners and vehicle graphics as well as the normal die cut vinyl graphics. I saw some words about needing a banner. If so, let me know if I can help. If it's one or two I could say it's a project for myself and probably get the boss to only charge me cost. I could even give it a full sewn edge with grommets or add one inch webbing extending from all corners for tying up purposes. I don't know our pricing to customers, but I know our costs and it's a whole lot less than $3 a square foot.

The patch is still in the works. Basically it's an out of pocket expense and i'm not sure who would want to put up the money to buy the first 200 to get it started. Basic quote was $300 for 200 patches. But maybe we will figure that out soon. If I had the cash I would have them available tomorrow.

Guess I finally know who Arnold is. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what member that could have been. Glad you like the shirt.

Sorry to spoil the illusion.  Anyway, I'd be willing to chip in some cash to get it going if you want to run with it.  Don't know about the logistics and don't know if the market is viable since the other patch is out there.  Just a thought.

No illusion here. I know nothing is for sure. I have word that the other patch is almost gone. Only about 20 left. So I better get one of those now.

Edit:  Just ebayed myself two of them. Just to make sure I have one and probably my brother. The ebay auction says only 8 left.

I'm not racist about beer but I'll take a Budweiser over a Miller any day. And when everything tastes like licking the floor I switch to Corona.  Or say screw it and Do the Dew.

I'm not sure I have ever had a traditional american beer, I live in Oregon and as my Dad put it he drank too much cheap American beer when he was my age so he never buys it so I started out with Widmer hefeweizen and am now working on Arrogant Bastard Ale I think I well have to get either one of the long sleeve Tee's or a black tee shirt.

No problem. Nobody was really buying the stuff anyway. In this time of horrible economy at least we can rely on beer.

For some reason I envisioned more people buying the items so I could eventually get better options with the premium service but at 25-50 cents per item sale I haven't gotten that far. Maybe some day I'll get a hoodie or make a custom shirt.

Well if I knew sales would have been the way they are I could have customized it for you and then swapped it out with a generic one afterwards.

Next time give me a heads up.

So far these people have ordered stuff.

Odd. That cafe press invoice thing is screwy. Must have missed it somewhere unless you have an alias.

I got my HTTA stuff today, pretty quick. Now I am a REAL guy! :-)

Minor b*&$h, the central section of the insignium is not white; it is the same yellow as the shirt. Mildhog lucked out it seems.

The cap (made in Cambodia) and stickers are O.K.

BTW, well packaged.
